Trade show · Cannes
Every November at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes, MAPIC brings together the companies that open stores and the ones that lease them space: retail brands, restaurant chains and leisure operators on one side; property owners, shopping centre and retail park managers, developers, cities and investors on the other. Its organiser, RX, describes it as the leading international retail leasing hub. The 2025 edition, the thirtieth, drew 4,000 participants from 75 countries, including 1,700 retail brand representatives, and 150 exhibitors, in a format condensed to two days. Here the stand is there to close leasing deals: it has to show your sites within minutes and give brands a quiet place to talk.

The challenges
Our advice
Think of your stand as a leasing suite: a front that announces your destinations, screens or a model to walk a brand through a site in a few minutes, and tables where a unit plan can be laid out to discuss floor area, rent and opening date. Brands come to Cannes looking for locations: display, readable from the aisle and in one line, the cities and formats you offer (shopping centre, retail park, high street, station or airport). And since the show lasts only two days, fill your schedule before opening with DealMaker by MAPIC, the organiser’s meeting platform.

FAQ
MAPIC 2026 takes place from 3 to 4 November 2026 (Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, Cannes). Dates checked on the organiser’s official website on 18 October 2026.
Design, build, installation and dismantling included, allow €6k to €14k excl. VAT for a 9 m² stand, €18k to €48k excl. VAT for a 36 m² stand and €44k to €128k excl. VAT for a 100 m² stand. Floor space, charged per m² by the organiser, and its technical services (electricity, rigging) come on top.
Ideally 16 weeks (4 months) before opening: for a show held in November, that means starting the project in July. At the very least, allow 10 to 14 weeks for a custom stand and 6 to 8 weeks for a premium modular stand. The August holidays fall in the middle of the schedule: starting in June leaves time to approve the 3D design before the summer, so the build can begin as soon as September starts.
The organiser offers bare space in the Riviera 7 exhibition hall, where you have your own stand built, a packaged stand (the Quick Connect Booth, with tables, chairs and a reception desk), networking tables in Riviera 8 and hospitality suites for the two days. On bare space, design, build, transport, installation and dismantling are ordered from a stand builder: that is our job, with projects from €5k excl. VAT. On a packaged stand or in a themed area (LeisurUp for leisure, Innovation & Sustainability, the Cities Pavilion), we dress your space in your brand colours with graphics, screens and furniture, within the organiser’s rules.
With material a brand can take in within minutes: a map of your destinations, unit plans on a touchscreen or in print, a model or 3D views for upcoming projects, and your key figures (footfall, catchment area, available floor space) next to the discussion table. We design the model supports, lighting and screen integration, then test everything during pre-assembly in our workshop, so the presentations run from the moment the show opens.
Yes. We build regularly at the Palais des Festivals, where build-up slots are short and access is tightly controlled: your stand is fully pre-assembled in our 1,500 m² workshop near Paris, then delivered to Cannes and installed by our own crews. Designed in modules, it can then be reused at SIMI in Paris in December, at MIPIM in Cannes in March or at your own events, with storage in between.
